About Chianti
Traveling through the Chianti Classico is a bit like stepping back in time. Narrow roads wind through
thick oak and chestnut woods, passing quiet little villages that haven’t changed in ages. Ancient fortress
castles sit on top of larger hills, reminding us of century long wars between the republics of Florence
and Siena. History and nature meet in perfect harmony and provide a refreshing escape from the bustle
of big city life.

The Chianti Classico was awarded it's own docg status seperate from the larger Chianti docg area in 1996.

It is the oldest and most historic region for the production of Chianti wines.
There are countless wineries from small family-run farms to world-famous wineries such as
Badia a Coltibuono, San Felice and Barone Ricasoli.

This tour strives to give you a taste of all the best that Chianti Classico has to offer.
A land where history, nature, food and wine are truly one.
