Itinerary
Hiking routes are moderate to challanging, 3 to 5 hours daily on gently rolling trails with some steep climbs.
Day 1
La Via dell’Amore
Cinque Terre Trail
In the morning meet your guide and travel by train to the Cinque Terre (bags transferred via courier directly to hotel accommodations in the Cinque Terre). Start your active wine adventure with a guided hike along the famous Via dell’amore, stopping to visit the charming villages of Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola
and Riomaggiore en-route.
Total hiking time approximately 3 hours.
Enjoy a delicious light lunch of fresh seafood paired to crisp Cinque Terre whites at a portside enoteca and a free afternoon to settle into the pace of coastal village life.
Begin your journey into the fine wines of Liguria in an evening Sommelier guided wine tasting with an introduction to winemaking in Liguria, followed by a Welcome to Liguria wine paired dinner of delicious local cuisine paired to fine wines from Cinque Terre and beyond..
Day 2
Punta Mesco

In the morning head our for a guided hike along high coastal trails from Monterosso to Levanto via Punta Mesco and the abandoned medieval sanctuary of Sant’Antonio.
Total hiking time approximately 3 hours.
Arrive in the coastal beach town of Levanto and free time to relax with lunch on your own.
In the afternoon enjoy a guided tour of a small local winery and tasting of estate wines.

Day 3
Volastra

In the morning enjoy a guided hike along breathtaking vineyard terraces high above the sea.
Enjoy the spectacular views of the coastal villages as you experience the nature of Cinque Terre viticulture from the vineyards themselves.
Stop en-route to visit a local winery for a guided tour and wine tasting before walking down to Manarola.
Total hiking time approximately 3 hours.
Lunch on your own and free afternoon to explore the villages or relax seaside.

Day 4
Soviore & Madonna del Reggio
Above Vernazza
Morning guided hike from Monterosso to Vernazza, stopping en-route to visit the sanctuaries of Soviore
and Madonna del Reggio.
Stop in Vernazza for a light lunch before optional hike back to Monterosso on beautiful coastal trails.
Total hiking time approximately 5 hours.
Enjoy free time to rest and relax before heading out to our gourmet farewell dinner of fresh seafood paired to wines from boutique winemakers of the Cinque Terre.
Day 5
Portovenere
Portovenere from the sea
Am check-out from your inn (baggage transferred by courier) and travel by Ferry to the colorful portside village of Portovenere at the edge of the Gulf of Poets. Visit the beautiful village of Portovenere and its fortress castle.
Enjoy lunch on your own in Portovenere and in the afternoon meet your driver to travel to La Spezia train station, baggage pick-up and farewell.
