Chianti Classico road Castelletto di Montebenichi Rendezvous with your Sommelier guide at the Florence airport or train station and travel into the Tuscan countyside. On your way to luxury accommodations in the Chianti Classico, stop to admire the medieval stone towers of San Gimignano. Check in, relax and settle into the pace of life in the Tuscan countryside. In the evening begin your exploratioin of the fine wines of Tuscany with an intro to Tuscany Sommelier guided wine tasting where you will learn about winemaking in Tuscany, wine regions, wine related legislation and wine tasting technique. After our wine tasting we will move on to a wonderful local restaurant for a Welcome to Tuscany gourmet dinner paired to top class Tuscan wines. Day 2Chianti Classico
Castello di Brolio Chianti Classico vineyards After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel we'll leave on a tour of the enchanting Chianti Classico region. We'll stop to visit the cellars of small family run and world famous wineries enjoying guided tours of wineries and tastings of estate wines. Along the way we'll stop for a delicious Tuscan lunch perfectly paired with regional wines at a fantastic local restaurant or directly at one of our favorite Chianti Classico wineries . We'll visit the beautiufl gardens at Brolio castle, where Baron Bettino Ricasoli invented the recipe for Chianti Classico wine in the 19th century. Return home to your luxury hotel and enjoy a free evening to relax with dinner on your own. Day 3Vino Nobile di MontepulcianoTasting Marzocco Chardonnay and Casanova di Neri Brunello Check-out of accommodations in Chianti classico and travel south into the land of Vino Nobile in the breathtaking coutryside surrounding Montepuliciano. We'll stop to tour the cellars of some of the region's leading estates to learn about the history and modern day winemaking in Montepulciano. Our tour will continue with an unforgettable lunch at one of the region's best enotecas or directly at a wine estate where we will pair Vino Nobiles to delicious local cuisine. In the afternoon enjoy free time to explore the medieval hilltop city of Montepulciano, stopping to visit the amazing underground cellars and shop for gourmet gifts. In the evening check-in to your historic accommodations in the Crete Senesi and free evening to relax with dinner on your own. Day 4Brunello di Montalcino
Traditional oak casks Our Wine Master's tour will wrap up with an unforgettable day in one of the world's greatest wine producing regions - Montalicino. We'll travel to the four corners of the Brunello wine producing area, stopping to meet the owners of leading Montalcino estates and learning first hand about this world famous wine. Our tour will continue with a fabulous private lunch with the owners of a small family run winery, served in the cellars and paired to the full array of estate wines. Before heading home we'll stop to walk the cobblestone streets of the medieval hill-top city of Montalcino and visit the 14th century fortress castle. After resting and relaxing at the hotel we'll celebrate our journey with a gourmet DOCG wine tasting dinner where we'll revisit Tuscany's wine regions and pair wines from San Gimignano, Chianti Classico, Montepulciano and Montalcino to the area's traditional regional dishes. Day 5 Siena
Duomo floor in Siena After checking out of our accommodations we'll travel to the breathtaking gothic city of Siena. We'll learn about the history of this fascinating city with a private tour led by a local art historian/guide. Our tour will wrap up with a delicous lunch at one of our favourite local trattorias where we'll toast to Tuscany and all we've experienced together. In the afternoon travel to Florence and farewell. ~
